This Cookie Policy explains how Aduro Creative Ltd ("Aduro", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on aduro.io and the Blaze portal. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how pages are used. Similar technologies include local storage and session tokens used for authentication.
How we use cookies
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website and Blaze portal to function. They include session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in securely, load-balancing cookies, and security cookies that help prevent abuse. We do not need your consent for these cookies under UK law.
Functional cookies
These remember choices you make (such as cookie preferences managed by Cookiebot, or navigation preferences) to improve your experience. They are optional but may affect how the site behaves if disabled.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
On aduro.io we use Google Analytics (typically loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use our website — for example which pages are viewed and how users navigate. These cookies are not strictly necessary. We only set them after you give statistics consent through our Cookiebot banner.
Marketing cookies (Google Ads)
We may use Google Ads tags (also loaded via Google Tag Manager) to measure advertising effectiveness and, where permitted, show relevant ads to people who have visited aduro.io. These cookies require marketing consent through Cookiebot before they are placed.
Blaze portal cookies and Mixpanel
The Blaze portal uses essential HTTP-only cookies for authentication and session management. These are required to access your account and cannot be disabled while using the portal.
We also use Mixpanel within Blaze for product analytics — for example to understand which features are used and where users encounter friction. Mixpanel may store identifiers in cookies or local storage. This helps us improve Blaze for authenticated business users and is separate from aduro.io marketing cookies. We do not use Google Ads or Cookiebot within Blaze.
Cookie consent (Cookiebot)
On aduro.io, Cookiebot manages our cookie consent banner. It records your choices, blocks non-essential scripts until you consent, and lets you change preferences at any time. Strictly necessary cookies (including Cookiebot’s own consent cookie) are always active.
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a container on aduro.io that loads Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other tags according to your Cookiebot consent categories. When Cookiebot is enabled, statistics and marketing tags do not run until you opt in to the relevant category.
Third-party cookies
Some embedded content or integrations (for example payment flows via Stripe, OAuth with GitHub, Google analytics/ads tags, or Cookiebot) may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Those providers have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Managing cookies
On aduro.io, use the Cookiebot banner or the “Cookie settings” link in our footer to change statistics or marketing preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of our website or Blaze from working correctly.
