Park Steele

Aduro partnered with Park Steele, an independent commercial property agency and surveyors based in Surrey, to build a new public website. Working from high-fidelity prototypes delivered by Orangery — who shaped Park Steele's brand and interface design — Aduro led architecture, engineering and delivery, with ui loco on frontend engineering. The site went live in ten weeks, from signed designs to launch.

A site worthy of the portfolio
Commercial property is a considered purchase. Park Steele's website needed to feel as polished as the advice they give — clear navigation across properties, services, insights and contact, with a brand presence that communicates independence, experience and local knowledge across Farnham, Chichester and the wider South East.
Orangery's prototypes set the visual direction: typography, colour, layout and every key screen — including property listing and single property views — giving development a precise target. ui loco translated that design into the frontend experience, while Aduro's architectural decision was to separate content management from presentation: a REST API powering property data and editorial content, with a hybrid JavaScript frontend responsible for what users see.
Search built around how tenants actually look
The core requirement was property discovery. Users needed to find commercial space near them — or within a chosen radius of a town or postcode — and narrow results by size, property type and tenure. The search supports grid and map views, distance-based sorting, and a shortlist consultants can build as they browse and return to later.
Behind the interface, geocoded property data powers radius search across the portfolio, with taxonomy-driven filters for size bands, class types and lease terms. That structure lets Park Steele's team publish and update listings without reworking the frontend — and lets search stay fast as the portfolio grows.

Property pages that do the heavy lifting
Individual property pages carry the detail a serious enquiry needs: photography, floor area, usage class, pricing, key features, floorplans and agent contact — with shortlist and share controls surfaced prominently. The layout follows Orangery's design faithfully while the underlying model keeps property attributes consistent across listing cards, map markers and detail views.

Server-rendered for discovery
A detached frontend architecture often trades search visibility for interactivity. For Park Steele, both mattered — the site needed fast client-side navigation and prefetching, but also pages rendered on the server so search engines could index every property listing reliably.
Aduro chose server-side rendering for public pages, combining the responsiveness of a modern JavaScript framework with HTML delivered on first request. Content editors manage properties and pages through the API; the frontend handles rendering, search, maps and shortlisting — with automated deployment keeping both sides in sync.
The result is a commercial property website that matches Park Steele's reputation: elegant on first impression, practical under use, and built to help tenants and investors find the right space — locally, quickly and with confidence.
